Sönmez Filament

Sönmez Filament Synthetic Yarn and Fiber Industry Inc. is the first organization affiliated with Sönmez Holding. It was established in 1972 with 15 partners with the aim of producing all kinds of Polyester Yarn and Fiber starting from polymer in high technology. Negative developments in both domestic and foreign markets made it necessary for our company to pause its production as of August 01, 2008, and since no improvement was seen in the negative conditions and positive expectations were not formed for the future of the sector, the pause given to production was made permanent as of November 06, 2008 and all production activities were completely and permanently terminated as of this date.

In line with our idea of ​​operating in different areas other than the textile sector and in a more profitable way, a 15% participation was made in Sönmez Cement Construction and Mining Inc. in 2011.
As a result of the cessation of production activities, the closed areas are being evaluated by renting.

The closure and/or liquidation of the company is out of the question.
